Inspired by the original tv series Magnum P.I., Magnum Copters is the newest one-stop shop for helicopter flight training. From obtaining your private license to more advanced maneuvers, we cater to all aspects of flight training. We pride ourselves not only in acquiring new students, but also preparing them for the real world – hence why we coined the phrase “real world flight training”. Through our primary and advanced training, along with mock interviews and resume building, we do our best to push student success in the pilot industry.
MAGNUM COPTERS FLIGHT INSTRUCTORS
Mike Cannon – Chief Pilot
Mike took to the skies when he was only 15 years old and now has over 30 years of general aviation experience including Hang Gliding, Parachute Operations, Gliders, Fixed Wing and Helicopters. He holds an ATP certificate and has spent the past 10 years flying a variety of missions in light, medium, and heavy helicopters including EMS, Utility, Tours, Fire Fighting, Off shore Oil & Gas, Aerial filming, Agricultural seeding, Powerline construction, and Heli-skiing.
Mike brings a wealth of real world helicopter knowledge to the team. He has held 135 Chief Pilot, Check Airman, Company Instructor, and Director of Safety positions with several helicopter operators across the county and has spent several years working with the FAA, NTSB, IHST, and USHST organizations to help improve safety within helicopter training and flight operations.
During that time, Mike realized there was a significant gap between what most flight schools are producing, and what the industry is looking for in new pilots. Magnum Copters is leveraging that knowledge to build real world training curriculums that have the highest possible job placement rates upon graduation.

Joshua Crow started flight school and college in Prescott, Arizona in 2013. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and was a flight instructor there for two and a half years.
